There are seven major Charkas that are located along our spine. Each of the Chakras are governed by principles of consciousness that we can use to cultivate greater harmony, happiness, and wellbeing as we journey through life. There are also many minor Chakras in the body, this course will deal specifically with the seven major ones. A Chakra can be described as a whirling vortex of energy, and just like a vortex, these whirling energy centres can spin too fast causing an excess in the Chakra, or too slow causing them to be under active, both the excess and under active Chakra will have an impact on our daily life, mentally, physically and/or emotionally. This course will help you to connect to your Chakras, assist you in determining if they are over or under active, and provide activities and exercises to bring them into balance. This course is designed to be taken over an 8 week period. Each week you will be given information about the specific Chakra we are working on, journaling prompts and a specific yoga practice for the energy centre, these yoga practices will be shorter in length so that you can truly embody the experience.
