Take Your Yoga to Work this March

I've often wondered during my working career, why it is so hard to find a lunchtime yoga class I've heard studios say there isn't an interest, but I often wonder if this is the case.

Taking an hour away from your desk at work can significantly reduces workplace stress and improves productivity (now that is a win for both you and your employer!). I know personally, I have worked for years without taking a lunch break (the nature of real estate), but when I take that time from my work day, and change the scenery or my mental focus, the day is just so much better, in so many ways. Just like your muscles, your eyes and your mind need a break from the work at hand, a simple yoga class can bring back mental clarity to ensure that when you return to work, your mind will seem as flexible as your body feels.

We have all heard that sitting is the new smoking - although a few years old now, it still points out how it is not healthy for our bodies to sit for 8 plus hours a day. Even if you take your lunch to work and spend your lunch hour watching videos on youtube while you eat, your body is still in a seated position. A lunch time yoga practice can help our bodies realign and come back into balance, we can do standing poses, neck stretches, shoulder rolls, stretch tight muscles in forward folds, so that when we return to our work day, we have given our bodies a shift from the dreaded seated position (bonus points if you have a standing desk at work!)

In an effort to clear our minds of anxiety, boost our concentration and energy, stretch out the stiffness in our joints, let's replaced our lunch break phone scrolling with a yoga practice to have us performing at our best for the rest of our day.

Let's take back casual fridays with yoga pants and messy buns! I have created a six week online program where we will meet live every Friday for a 45 minute class, starting March 1, 2024. Whether you work from home or at the office, let's "Take our Yoga to Work" and see what happens on the mat!

Participation for this series of classes is limited so that I can create the best experience possible for you. Class recordings will be emailed to participants if you are unable to make it live.

I hope you will join me!
